Taking possession and breakdowns?

We just sold our place but requested 3 days rent back to expire 9pm yesterday. This am the new owners came back saying we need to fix the dishwasher and remove the stickiness of the floor in one of the rooms. Prior to the inspection, we fixed the dishwasher which was leaking. At inspection, the dishwasher ran fine. There was a quick walkthrough while we were still occupying the unit, and they may not have checked all the appliances. We haven’t used the dishwasher since the inspection. We spent 3 hours scraping the rug pad that got stuck on the floor, and almost nothing is left. It may be a little sticky. We have paid rent-back, with a $1800 deposit. What are our options? We want our deposit back. what rights do we have? What negotiation do we do? If any.
