Interview, how to avoid giving info on current salary?

I have always avoided giving info on my current salary. I think the answer to this question helps the employer in future negotiations, but does not help the interviewee. I'd rather ask what is the salary range for this postition. Or I can always negotiate up after I get the offer. Do you agree and if yes what do you think is the best way to avoid giving info on the current salary?
