Is "disrespecting" a Police Officer some sort of crime I didn't know about?

A cop can trump up a disorderly conduct charge on anybody. He knows you'll have to put your money up to bond out, waste a day in court and it'll probably be thrown out. Of course I will go for all the legal bells and whistles. I will want a preliminary hearing, bound it over to the grand jury, file a motion of discovery, file a motion for speedy disposition and wont plea to anything. So a cop messing with me can chalk a couple of off days. I will take a trumped up charge all the way to the jury. I will have the DA's office hot at him and everything. Around here the judges don't go for not showing up for court either. I've seen these general sessions judges hold a cop in contempt for not showing up. And I wont motion the court of dismissal for failure to prosecute, I will want to try the case. And if one thing is messed up with the case, one piece of evidence is withheld from the discovery, then i'm filing a law suit for malicious prosecution, and name the cop in the case. so the cop now can chalk more off days with motions and depositions. Miss a day in court there and I will file for default judgement.
