Girls is this normal... <period?>?

hi guys im currently 14 years old ive been having my period for about 3 years almost now. umm i was jus wondering if i am having them too soon or to close together. it feels like it to me. okay my last period was on april 8 and now im on it again and i started may 2. which is 25 days apart thats normal 4 me. but it last for about a week therefore it ended on april15 and from that time to May2 is only about 17 days. is that normal? its been like that every mnth for a long time and it just feels like im on it alot. i talked to my mom about it she doesnt really kne so she said i should go see a gnocologist and see about puting me on birth control. . . . is that nessary? i really dont want to because im scared ive never been b4. does ur parent have to stay in there with you? ..... so wat do you guys think? plez help :)
